Nature and Wildlife Photography
Jim has had his photography blog for many years now and built up a good following. He contacted me about upgrading the blog into a more functional website where he could also have galleries showcasing his photos and sell his work as high quality fine art prints.
To achieve this, I completely redesigned his website using Elementor. I then used the Envira Gallery plugin to create beautiful looking galleries with lightboxes to showcase his images, then made all photos available to purchase (links under each image in both the gallery and lightbox pages taking the viewer directly to the purchase page for that photo).
Using Woocommerce, I created a product page for each image with a small selection of paper prints to purchase directly through his website. Additionally, I created a dynamic link which would then direct the viewer to the related product page for that photo on his Fine Art America private website, offering a larger selection of framed, canvas, metal prints and more.
Using Crocoblock’s jet Engine plugin, I created custom post types for the gallery pages, custom meta fields within the Woocommerce product pages to easily enter the url for the FAA product pages to dynamically insert the links to the buttons on his Woocommerce pages.
Using a great plugin called Unlimited Elements, I was able to create beautiful sliders, carousels and post grids to showcase this print products and his blogs on both the main pages and in sections through the site cross promoting related content. Each of these are fully filterable and searchable, making it much easier for the visitor to navigate his content.
For SEO, I setup the brilliant Rank Math plugin to ensure all his pages are properly optimised.
Finally, I properly set him up on Google Search Console, Analytics and Tag Manager, to ensure that Google can easily crawl and index all his great content. I also installed a plugin that will automatically new and updated pages to Google, Bing and other search engines.
